Proverbs 18:22
Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
Brothers and Sisters,
My wife and I have been experiencing some difficult times in these past few weeks, so we have not been able to be here as often as we would have liked. We are taking this time however to just send out a word of thanks giving on the behalf of our brother in the Lord for answered prayer. It was about a year ago on November 1st 2010 that we sent out word about our Bro. Greg Gordon of SermonIndex asking for prayer. Among those prayer requests, was a prayer for a help meet. That God would provide him with a partner to help him in this ministry that God has appointed him to. God has answered this brother’s prayer, and we would like to rejoice with him.
As we said, about one year ago we conveyed our brother’s request for prayer in the post Prayer for Greg Gorden of SermonIndex. In the we shared a prayer card and asked that all those who are able to pray for this dear brother in the Lord as he seeks to do God’s will.
On October 23rd 2011 at the First Baptist Church Of Lilburn, Georgia. In a simple but beautiful ceremony officiated by Pastor Keith Daniel. Greg Gordon and Brandy Leigh Vaughan became husband and wife.
We want to rejoice with the newly wed couple even though our rejoicing is a bit late. May the Lord cover them and keep them, as they surrender themselves in love to His service. May He provide for their every need, from the spiritual to the physical as only He can. May He be glorified in them so that all who look upon them may see that their God is real and so be drawn to Him.
In Greg’s own testimony of how he and Brandy met and came together he says:
The words were not heard from our lips but both of us 3 years ago decided firmly in our hearts that unless the Lord greatly moved and made something absolutely clear such as marriage it would not be something either of us sought after or pursued to think about. This happened in both of our hearts as the Lord was preparing both of us for each other. Even the thought to either of us to go on a date or talk with another made us both uncomfortable. God was setting us apart both specially for His kingdom purposes and plans.
