Proverbs 18:22

Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

Brothers and Sisters,

My wife and I have been experiencing some difficult times in these past few weeks, so we have not been able to be here as often as we would have liked. We are taking this time however to just send out a word of thanks giving on the behalf of our brother in the Lord for answered prayer. It was about a year ago on November 1st 2010 that we sent out word about our Bro. Greg Gordon of SermonIndex asking for prayer. Among those prayer requests, was a prayer for a help meet. That God would provide him with a partner to help him in this ministry that God has appointed him to. God has answered this brother’s prayer, and we would like to rejoice with him. More Than A Guardian Angel

Hebrews 1: 4

Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Today I’m taking the time, not to preach a message as I usually do, but to give a testimony. A testimony of the grace and mercy of my Lord Jesus. A testimony of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will. Through the years that I have known the Lord, I have seen His grace and mercy manifested in my life. But no matter how much grace and mercy I see, His grace and mercy are never exhausted. As Jeremiah said, they are new every morning. Read the rest of this entry →

Where Are You God?

Job 23:8-9

8. Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
9. On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:

Introduction:

Have you ever come to the point in your Christian walk, where you have to conclude “The Christian Life is not what I thought it would be?” Or have you been faced with such a trial or difficulty that caused you to feel as though God has abandoned you, or that He is not aware, and if He is aware, He is not concerned about your welfare? I am sorry that the questions sound so cliche. They sound like questions that the common televangelist would ask, so that he can get someone to think he’s talking to them. In reality though, these questions describe in vivid detail the experience of many a child of God whom the Lord has laid His hand upon. Read the rest of this entry →

Absolute Surrender: The Story of Jacob’s/My Life Part 3

Genesis 32:26

And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Introduction:

In Luke 18 we have the parable of the Pharisee and the Publican. In that account we have our Lord Jesus Christ Himself painting a picture for us of a wicked man, and a righteous man. If we are honest with ourselves, the Pharisee’s description of himself in that account, on the surface reads like the description we would give to a righteous man today. He was not an extortioner, unjust, or an adulterer. He was of a better reputation than the corrupt tax collector. He fasted, not once a month, but twice every week. He also gave tithes of all that he possessed. Now wouldn’t the average modern day church love to have this man as a member of their congregation? Read the rest of this entry →

Run For Your Life: A sermon by Pastor Carter Conlon

2 Corinthians 6:17

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,

No one, unless they willfully choose to reject the evidence, can deny that our world today is not as it used to be. Everything seems to be in a state of chaos. This is not negativity, it’s realism. This is the truth. This is not just a matter of another fanatical preacher ringing the doom and gloom bell. It is the reality of the situation. Just look at the news. From failing economies, to global unrest, the world is experiencing some of the most difficult times it has ever faced. Read the rest of this entry →
